I am about to graduate from University of Phoenix in a few months with a BS in Business/Marketing and I am looking for a legitimate site that has quality job postings. I live in NC and I am not interested in Careerbuilder, Monster, Hotjobs or sites like that. The reason being is because lots of those jobs are work at home jobs, scams, or jobs from those start up businesses that have not been established yet. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

No one answered in seven minutes so I thought I would put my two cents in. Try a search online as in Australia we have many job sites that are government as well as the open market. remember to have a good upto date resume for when your ready.

www.craigslist.org

The best website for everything: looking for an apartment, job, stuff and etc. Choose your own state and city.

I personally looked for a job only on this site and had the best experience. No spam. Real people and companies. No charge. No ads. I found my last two apartments there, I bought and sold stuff there, unfortunately I took a job through the career service at my school but I went to interviews in many local companies because of this website and gained the experience.

P.S. if there is any spam or head hunters on there, you can recognize them from their email addresses or the type of their ads. (such as "the job best ever!" or no disclosure of the company's name. it should not be a secret, since you want to check the company's website and more info on them before you set an appointment, right?) Good luck!

Good luck. I've check worked my past two jobs from careerbuilder.com so you may want to give it a little more time. However you are right it's does have to many scams. Business marketing. Hmmm. You may just have to bite the bulliet and send out your resume and talk to people. Go to some businesses and get your face out there. Even if they aren't hiring they may forward your resume to another department or company when they talk.

Make a list of companies that interest you. Go to their website and submit your resume.
