70 hours a week/ and kids?
How would have time for someone once you did meet them?
Really at work would be the logistical answer, quickly followed by socializing with peers (meeting a friend of a friend) but still not the ideal one given that you are always at work & really wouldn't even have time for a relationship.
Anyway a good way to make new friends is to stay open. If you make eye contact with someone (at the gas station, at the deli etc) smile at them, should they smile back...say something. This practice with continued use will help you to develop conversational skills, new people skills & is wonderfully accepted by others as an invitation...an invitation to smile, chit chat or what-have-you. Before you know it you will find that you have 'friends' where you had thought you only had 'acquaintances' and 'acquaintances' where you thought there were 'strangers.'
Good Luck

If you need to work 70 hrs a week to support yourself and kids you don;t have time. If you are just working that many hrs to make more money and get ahead in life ..slow down and make some time for yourself.

If you have to work 70 hours a week plus take care of kids, you don't really have time for any relationship at this time in your life. Eventually kids grow up. Then you can concentrate on finding someone to share your life. Your kids should come first now, with any free time you have.

A website like eharmony.com might be a good choice. If you have the energy to work through it. I have two friends that have had wonderful success with that site. Its very detailed. Once you look at it, I'm told if you let it sit and do nothing, they will start emailing you deals to join that are less than half the price they ask for up front, the first time you look.

Maybe during your lunch break eat out at a restaurant or a bar especially because single working men go to little bars to eat during lunch. Or when u go to supermarkets, look for single men doing the shopping. Good luck Or ask ur friends and coworkers to hook u up on dates.

Um, if you're working 70hrs a week with children, you shouldn't have time for anyone else but those kids until you're able to work fewer hours.
