My best friend met a guy in a chatroom and now her life revolves around him. When I call her she comes up with an excuse to hang up on me then I find out she's talking to him! He's 8 years older than her and everytime I say something about it, she blows up in my face.(she's 12 btw) She's constantly talking about him and whenever I say something about a guy I like she tells me that she doesn't want to hear about it. I feel extremely left out and I'm really worried about her. I can't ever find the right words to say to get through to her that she needs to come back to earth. Can someone help me?

In this type of situation force never works.Just be calm and collected as it seems you are and take things slowly when it gets to points you have to talk come in and talk and then back out again. You are the friend she has up close here he is somewhere else if anything eventually happens between them that causes them to fall apart it i s still you she will fall back on,so do not feel left out you really are a more important factor to her than both of you can imagine.Buut still watch out bcos the age difference is too much and he may polute her so always keep a third eye on her and if i gets out of hand tell her parents or yours to help.
Good luck in being a good friend that i already think you are.

I think first of all I would try to talk to her and see what she is saying about it. If that is not helping at all I would talk to her parents so they know what is going on and that this guy is 8 years older than her daughter.
Cause I think that is just not right and maybe they talk to her then. That can be hard to get through to her so you can talk but if it doesn't help I would leave her alone for -I dono- two weeks and then try to talk again. Or you can just sit there and pray that she stops talking about him and listen to you when you gotta say something. Get help from her parents!!

Tell your parents and let them deal with this. That's just wrong if a 20 year old guy is engaging a 12 YO.
