If you make sure that you logout of your hotmail email account every time you access it and also do not use the option "remember me" then there is no way anyone else can access your account on hotmail. When you are signing in always select "Always ask for my e-mail address and password" option below the user name and password field.
To be more secure, whenever you stop browsing the Internet clean up your browser's temporary files and cache. In firefox you can do this by clicking on tools in the menu then you go to options (You can also use Alt+O) and then go to the privacy tab and hit the clear now button. While you are there go to the security tab and click ''show password' and clear all the passwords. If you are using internet explorer then click 'tools' on the menu bar and click on 'Internet Options' and on the 'general' tab click on the 'delete cookies', 'delete files' and 'clear history'.
After you have done this there is no way anyone can access your email account on hotmail.

Likely not. However, I wouldn't discount them installing a keylogger or other piece of hiddenware that can get access to your Hotmail inbox. The best way to keep parents out of your inbox is to not give them a reason to go into your inbox.

Yes. They can also access your hotmail inbox from the other end of the world. What they need, however,is your password. It has nothing to do whether you share a network (unless they use packet sniffing, which i highly doubt),but the fact that they have access to the intenet and your password.

If they have you user name and password the can access your account form any compter they want. without those items the only way to do it is if say you where to have it autosign in you to a site or remember your password, then they could log onto your computer to get in. other than that they would have to be a hacker to pull it off.

If you sign out of your email and your web browser doesn't save passwords, then they can't access your email at all unless they forced the password out of you.

If you log on automatically they sure could.. so be sure to "sign out".. then someone would need your password for access.
Good Luck
