KC, carrie underwood has a good voice too, but country music sucks(my opinion) and seems to be less marketable than pop/rock. And plus not many people have watched American Idol since the first one where Kelly became popular. Just compare the strength of Kelly's voice on her albums.

Carrie is better. I never thought Kelly was all that. Sure she has more hits and shes been out longer and she caters to the very young crowd.

I think that Kelly definitely has more talent on the whole, but Carrie has the country music thing down. And country music never dies. Kelly has more of a range, and a stronger, more emotive voice.

Totally Carrie Underwood! She has the talent to combine a little bit of rock in with her country-as she shows it in "Before He Cheats" and some other of her songs on her album, "Some Hearts"!! She is awesome!
