Blinking icons near clock causing pop-ups and my homepage has been reset to asecureboard.com. I got this computer for Xmas, please help.

Your computer is infected with a hijacker trojan called Zlob which hijacks your homepage to one of many rogue websites including asecureboard.com. Download SpyNoMore from the link below to remove asecureboard.com and the Zlob trojan which put it there in the first place. Another symptom of Zlob Trojan is that it generates fake warning messages like:

System Alert
Critical System Error
System Performance monitor warning
Security Alert: NetWorm-i.Virus@fp
W32.Myzor.FK@yf

and download, install, update, and run in this order frome the list of programs
2. Zone Alarm
1. AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition
3. Ad-Aware
then do the same with Spybot Search and Destroy

Remember to update and run the anti-virus and spy / adware on a regular basis

It's a spyware, If you want to remove it manually there are two many to remove.

It's good to download a spyware remover or to be precise Zlob remover
