DO NOT USE ROUNDUP ON YOUR GRASS/LAWN. . . .Glyphosate, frequently sold under the brand name Roundup, was introduced in the late 1980s for non-selective weed control. Nonselective mean it KILLS all plants except those that are now resistant to it.
Specific herbicides for the type of weeds; monocots and dicots. Broad leaf weeds are the dicots whereas grass is a monocot. Soooo, use a broad leaf herbicide on grass/turf/lawn areas as the broad leaf poison will not kill the monocots (grass). However, some of your "weeds" might be monocots and there the wicket can get sticky if you don't read the herbicide label. Therefore there is a need to identify the monocot weed so the proper poison can be administrated.

Save yourself the trouble. I am a lawn care specialist and at least twice a month throughout the summer I get calls from people to come to their house and fix their mistakes. When doing lawn care there are alot of variables and some broadleaf weeds are resistant to broadleaf herbicides(yellow wood sorrel is resistant to 2-4D) Call a professional they will come to your house and give you a free estimate and most will tell you the kind of herbicide to use. Call a smaller company, a local company, they have more time to spend with the customer than the huge companies, and are usuaully alot better at their job. By the way... NEVER SPRAY ROUNDUP IN YOUR LAWN!!! I hope I helped.

Weed and feed. The liquid form bottle hooks right up to your hose and disperses the proper mixture. Kills small and broadleaf while at the same time will fertilize the rest of the lawn. Make sure not to water for two days though or it willl not work properly. Home depot, or Lowes.

You would have to use a weed killer for lawns or dig them out.
