In Egyptian mythology she is one of the five children of the sky Goddess Nut and earth God Geb.
She became the sister wife of Osiris the God of the Underworld.
Regarded as the Mother Goddess she is depicted in many dirrefent aspects as other Egyptian Goddesses.
Often she is shown seated and nursing the child God, Horus. The son of Osiris who was conceived after Isis reassembled his strewn body parts, when their brother Seth killed him.
