I am looking to smooth out my retaining wall, we just fill some holes and they are very rough and jagged looking. Thanks

If there's not a lot to do you can use a concrete sanding block and water. If it's a big job, I'd suggest renting an electric hand held concrete surfacing grinder. Look for the Bosch 1773AK 10 Amp 5-Inch concrete surfacing grinder, it's ideal for removing irregularities, formwork seams and protrusions.

Not sure I was hoping someone answered you cause I have a rough driveway that I would like to smooth out. Sorry I couldn't help.

There are a number of types of grinders that you can use on concrete. Go to a rental company and explain what you need to do and they will find you the right tool.

You don't....
The way to smooth it out is to place a 1/2" topping coat
of pure cement mix, and smooth it out with a float.
