I want to start a fantasy football league next season with 12 teams (four divisions-three teams per division). Each team will play its division opponents three times and each other opponent once, with weeks 16 and 17 playoff weeks. What is the best way to make a schedule for the league? I've tried doing it manually, but I can't seem to get it all to match. Can somebody help or direct me to a site where I can find a free schedule generator?

I'm not aware of a site that does this for you. In the keeper leagues I'm in we use a custom schedule that I generate and keep in Excel. It's a big league tho' (4 divisions of 5 teams). I could do one in the format you're talking about but it's sort of iterative in that there's some trial and error involved to make sure you get all of the matchups, no duplicates, etc. so it would probably take an hour or two to do. If you're interested just IM me at some point (I assume you're in no rush) and I can throw something together for you if you don't find a site that does it for you.

You might want to try fleaflicker.com. I checked it for my league last week and it looks pretty good. Very customizable, but they were doing some maintenance so I could not tell if it would let you do the scheduling yourself.

Also, and this is just a thought ... Having the title game in Week 17 may be something you want to rethink. So many teams rest their stars or only let them play a few series, it dilutes their stats on the biggest day of the year for the fantasy teams.
