can you shorten a Thermaltake CL-P0071 Sonic Tower Heatsink?

I have the same heatsink it's amazing, does it's job well.

The only way I see you shortening it , is by cutting it, and that will destroy it. Don't do it, this heatsink has heatpipes you will destroy it
