there is two issues to this. Without checking I would assume that the mold is coming from a buildup of moisture on the surface of the window and the trim around said windows. The mold is growing because of the moisture that is present. It is probably eating away at a small amount of dust and drywall. Now it is possible that the mold is inside the wall but unlikely unless the drywall is soft from absorbing moisture. To fix the mold issue scrub the effected area with bleach and water to kill the mold and get a dehumidifier in each room that the condensation is. This will lower the humidity and keep the water from building up on the windows. Mold will always grow where there is moisture and little air flow. You can't really blame the landlord for the problem if it is caused solely by humidity in the rental unit. Now if the humidity is caused by a broken pipe or something sure it would be the landlords fault but just breathing raises the humidity level.

I have a sister that "was" buying a house that she had no idea, that had black mold growing"everywhere" in the house. Until it got cooler weather. She also has 4 children. They all stayed sick, pretty much constantly. Her Doctor asked her the same question, and of course her answer was yes, to black mold. Doctor told her the house needed to be done away with. (Black Mold growing in that house was so bad, it was even through the walls and in the insulation) Needless to say my sister Moved immediately!!! ~Good Luck~ Talk to anyone you can about this, and hopefully you have the money to move very soon! It's definantly nothing to play around with! Again Good Luck~ <3 =-)

The mold is caused by leaking windows and/or moisture being trapped behind and inside the wall board. Unfortunately, it is probably worse inside the wall where you can't see it. Have you spoken to your landlord about this? You need too. At least you might be able to re-coop some of the medical expenses incurred. Maybe he would be willing to move you into another apartment in the building. It is a serious health risk to your children and to you. Don't hesitate to bring it to his attention TOMORROW if you haven't already. Good LUck.

It would probably be in you child's & family best health to move if the mold is on the wall it is on the inside as well. It can be taken care of by using bleach & then 2 coats of Kiltz paint & pain the wall as normal but this alll take money & time if this is rental property I wouldn't invest into it. During the winter you will see it on the walls due to the heater being on.

alot of southern states have this problem the only way you can get rid of it is to build a mold proof house or move to a dry state
(example few know this but every apartment hotel motel and house in florida has mold )and yes it can be life threatening if you breath enough of it in . it causes symptoms very close to asthma or smokers cough . the only other solution is not very doable and that is to soak the entire house in bleach and rebuild every wall , floor , and ceiling . you can try looking up info online about it under house mold and black mold that might help .
i wish i knew something concrete that would help you and your baby

you ought to purpose Mr. Muscle Limescale remover as a initiate. it works properly removing lime scale from chrome and metallic surfaces so it ought to in all threat penetrate black mold on tiles. i haven't tried it myself notwithstanding that's properly worth a attempt as a initiate and that's available because of the fact that's a twig today from the plastic bottle with a sequence off action. the different i might advise is sugar cleansing soap that's obtainable from any DIY keep as they use it to do away with grease and airborne dirt and dust purely before indoors portray. Make it a greater advantageous answer even with the indisputable fact that than stated on bottle and go away it to soak for 10 minutes. probable double the quantity then use a stiff washing up brush to penetrate the mildew.

You should move............something is causing the mould. Even if your landlord effects repairs, without finding the root cause, the mould will come back. This is very dangerous for your family. The cause could be a leaking pipe behind the walls, very expensive to repair.
