i might offer to share the pod. but unless i had a very good reason to give up the pod to her (ie :she is my mom etc....) i doubt i would give it up

Nope. Survival is a bigger priority than chivalry. Besides, I know I won't have children, I don't know if she will. I'd rather not leave that to chance.

i'm a gentleman and what not but not that much of one. i have this thing i cant get past about wanting to stay alive. in that situation it would not be man and woman. it would be alive and dead and i would pick alive

It depends if she was a true lady, then yes. If she is a lezbo or independent woman of today, then I would save myself.
