good question. first off, i am a woman.... any woman that says her mood doesn't change is either blessed or lying. i think it's more dramatic in adolescence. when i was a kid, i would be angry one minute, depressed the next, then irritable...you know, emo.
now i am old, and although i think i handle it better, i still get sad for no reson, extra sensitive sometimes...well, still emo.
a woman that thinks she should be treated "normally" is the one who really needs special treatment because she is in denial.
not that we need to be babied...just some more understanding from you...and some patience would be appreciated. but please don't be condescending! ("oh...must be that time of the month" grrrr!).
(edit)
okay...wait...i understood your question to mean that women can behave disgusting...but seeing some of the answers, now i'm confused.
answer 2:

you are entitled to an opinion, and so far the only disgusting thing i can think of is your attitude.
I dont want to be treated "NORMALLY" any time, i am special and need to be treated in a way that befits my special uniqueness.
You court controversy my friend, even your name tells me that, only problem is, you don't do it very well and the words, playground, imbecile and sissyboy spring to my feminely "disgusting" little mind right about now!
Have a good day.

I don't get treated as normal during my period by my other half or children.Thats because anything I say or do with a raised voice or with a fraction of anger is blamed on it being the time of the month lol.

I get the feeling that whatever religion you are, you are treated "dirty/unclean" when you have your period. Because I'm not of that religion, I would think you would need to discuss this matter with your mother or some elder woman of your religion.

Women are not disgusting when they have their period and if you think they are then you need to get an attitude adjustment or hang around with different women. The reason they seem disgusting to you is because of your attitude.

I think disgusting is probably a bit O/T but I know what you mean, I had two daughters add that to wife and I suffered PMT nearly all the month!! Now, does that equate to a norm.
Life is certainly more stable now that daughters all live away and wife no longer has that problem.

We don't think we should just be treated normal- we should be treated extra well... cuz if we didn't have a period, we'd be pregnant and that would give you something even bigger to b*tch about.

For your own safety, I suggest you stick to romantic relationships with men in the future, as posing this question to a girlfriend may result in your grisly demise.
