WE MUST DIE IN ORDER TO BE BORN.
This phenomenon happened once when you were born from your mother's womb. You died to the womb world and you were born into the physical world. Here is some more detail.
Death is a relative word that means change. Man goes from one dimension of existence into a higher form of existence. Or in a symbolic language from one world to a higher world. At each transition we have to change - die, in the ordinary language.
People who cease to have a physical existence continue to live but in a higher dimension, unknown to us for a very good reason.
That good reason can be the subject of a whole new question.
This may sound too esoteric but it is simple and an example will clarify it.
When we were in the womb of our mother we were in another world. We were living in a physiological world. It was completely different from this physical world.
When we abandoned the womb world (died to the womb world) and were born into the physical world, we didn't "go" to any other place. We stayed in the same place. We came into a new and higher dimension of existence, the physical world.
Similarly when we abandon the physical world we continue our existence in a more evolved or higher dimension that is not physical but spiritual.
So the next world is not a "place" where we will be going to. It is here. But in another dimension unknown to us, just as the physical world was unknown to the fetus.
Death does not exist even in the physical sense because all the atoms of our body continue to exist in some other form.

Now the purpose of the physiological world -the womb world- was to develop eyes, ears, lungs, feet, hands and brains that were of no use in that environment. Their necessity became apparent in the following world, this physical world.
The purpose of the physical world in which we live now, is to develop moral virtues and to put them to the service of mankind. The usefulness of the effort of polishing our character and acquiring moral virtues will become apparent in the other dimensions of life which are not material but spiritual.
Progress continues in all the worlds and is not limited to this physical world.
To conclude death has been wrongly interpreted during the infancy of humanity as non existence. There are many things in our modern world that we can not see or touch but in which we believe. Gravity, waves, etc.. are classical examples.

It's a good questions. I am as lost like TinyDance's reply, and i like apicole's reply - that Die is maybe Change, but still at a lost.

How good if this post keep going, so that i can keep reflecting for the answer for this question.

We die because we smoke, eat overnight food regularly, never got hepatitis-B vaccination, eat too much red-meat, fried-food, smoked-food, too little vegetables, tomato. We die also because cancer recurred, we got metastatic stage.

But still, why must I come to an end in this world, which is the only world of my life that i know ? Can't i just die, and still have me (or my mind) knowing what's going on with this world, although i cannot be involved ? Why must death means "nothing" or "end' ?

If Die is the same as Change, can't i know before i die, the meaning of "me", my identity, my mind ? Yes, me is what i have lived for the past 70-100 years, but will i still have me, or will i be merged with a bigger form of me/others in a higher form of life ?

If Die means certainty and means coming to an end, my desire in this world would be - no need to do anything more virtuous or exciting than required, just live, but i dun want to live with sufferings, and i want to live with humane comfort.

But then, i am trying to lead a good or moral life, but Die does not give me the reason to lead a good and moral life. It just tell me dun do anything that harm others.

So why must i be living to the fullest, if i will die ? If i am living to the fullest, why must i die ?

Sigh, i still haven't got out of this matter, about dying and die.

We must die because it is the only certain idea everyone needs to realize. Even birth is not garuanteed, but surely death is. Life as we know it is constantly destroying life, and perfectly it is doing so. We must die because we are alive. Once we become aware and accept the only given truth - the only truth we may rest every penny on - life's stress will either hit you directly in the gut or it will be lifted from your shoulders.

Over-population, no space, eventual scarcity of food world-wide, or if you prefer the religious one: Our first parents sined and so, were condemmed to pass down the fatality of death, to all future generatons, us. We die and allow new ones to come, live and once again, die, and so on, and so on.

All we can do is live and accept the inevitable: advance in age only to die in the end. Everyone wants to do something to be remembered. Achieve something that'll keep their memory alive so that they may atleast live in memory. To live. Immortality in writing, monuments, actions. Anything that'll keep them alive, in a way. We fear death b/c we fear that we will be forgotten. Some people actually come to be remembered for all times or for some at least, but others do not. Those who don't..............die.

There are many reasons why.

1) If no one died yet human beings kept having children, where would we put them all?

2) If we knew we would live forever we wouldn't truly appreciate our time together and would we begin to take it for granted.

3) If we lived forever our brains would run out of room for memory.

4) If we lived forever the odds of even more horrible things happening to you would increase.

5) If we coul dlive forever the people we see everday would start to get on our nerves say 30,000 years from now.

6) If we lived forever it would be depressing. Many people are tired of this life already.

7) If we lived forever there would be no wondering about what came after death. The spice of life would be gone.

Because we are carbon-based animals. There are many ways to die, of course, but it is most common that we die because our flesh and bones begin to decay over time and our vital biological functions fail, which typically stops the supply of oxygen to the brain.

Jesus said "the wages of sin is death".
Stop rebelling and stop dieing.
Eternality is a reality and eternal life is a choice one has but most chose death.

Because our life belongs to God. He gave us life, and He also has the authority to have it back. Death allows us to take some rest for the judgement day. So, choose well and live well. I disagree of living life to the fullest without cautiousness, because we are resposponsible for our very own action.
