Just who did they beat? a so and so Texas team and barely beat an overrated Michigan team who themselves beat an overrated Notre Dame team
Ohio,Michigan and Notre Dame not only lost their games, they were blown out of the stadium,so much for Ohio State and Michigan fans that predicted a blowout the other way, that's why they play the game,BSU who sports writers and Big Ten fans cut down because of their schedule,at least went undefeated and beat a good Oklahoma team

If we could count the excuses as points why Ohio State and Michigan lost their games, both teams would be undefeated, the truth is they were good teams, but not as great as the media picture them, the SEC has proven it is a more talented conference, and BSU as a deserving team, proved it on the field, not in the newspaper sport page

Magneto,
I hear what you are saying. I have always been a proponent of some type of playoff in College Football. How that is finalized remains to be seen, but it will happen. Boise State should have a crack at the title. Conversely, even before a playoff system is developed, BSU should schedule non-conference play against some heavy hitters. Games against Ohio State, USC, Texas would go a long way to help legitimize a program that has been overlooked by the NCAA. I think if you can go undefeated, you should get a crack at the top team.

Remember what happened in 1984. BYU, undefeated, had to legitimize the Cougar season against a pathetic Michigan squad and I went to Michigan.

In the end some playoff system has to come about.

Well, Ohio State proved not to be the monster everyone thought. BUT, 2 months of no football really hurt them. I do not care what anyone says. If NCAA does not implement a playoff system, I at least hope the BIG 10 with divide their teams much like the SEC and have their own championship game. This would insure an extra week or two of football and stop the prolonged time from season end to Bowl Game.

I believe Ohio State was the best team in the nation but it is kinda hard to stay sharp when you don't play a game in 51 days!!!! AS for BSU I agree they should have a shot at the national title but not because of beating Oklahoma. I mean get real Oklahoma??? they are not that great of a team they didn't even play in the BIG 12 championship game!! I believe they finished 3rd or 4th in the BIG 12.

No, Ohio State was not a paper tiger. Ohio State plays in a touch conference with smashmouth football. Ohio State had a great team and year. But dealing with a team such as Florida with their speed and agility. Not to include they are in great shape. They do live in one of the warmest regions in the country and just was more conditioned than this years Ohio State team. Hats off to Ohio State But being a mountaineer fan and the tragedy of Florida beating us like a drum several years ago I witnessed a well oiled machine and the future of college football. And coach rod does just that type of recruiting as florida does. Speed, speed, speed. I hope that next years title game matches up two teams that use speed and agility and the type of recruiting that teams such as florida and my beloved mountaineers have implemented, it will be a great game to remember!!

i changed into a great deal surprised how crappy the Buckeyes performed contained in the call recreation very last 12 months - out of the perfect 2 years they have had 2 video games the position they performed like crap, that one vs Florida and this 12 months vs Illinois. i don't believe of you should anticipate that this 12 months, i imagine it will be extraordinarily low scoring and a 7 element win for LSU at maximum, no blowout, better like 20-17. SEC has 4 powerhouse communities this 12 months yet none are unbeatable. so a concepts hostile to the tremendous 10 they have a 4 element win and a 6 element loss, so i'd not somewhat say both of them are dominating.

Michigan overated? I think losing one game all season is pretty good. Yes, we did poorly in the rosebowl, no doubt about it, and no excuses. As much as I hate OSU, they had a perfect season. Does it really matter who they played? They won 12 striaght games. Michigan won 11. What the hell is BSU anyways? Funny there not very well known eh? Wonder why? Ever think its because the university itself sucks?

Ohio State lost because Florida was a lot more determined and motivated than them. Everyone wrote Florida off and Florida set out to prove everyone wrong. A layoff that long doesn't help either.
