Because there was no mention of it in the Bible. I told her the people that wrote the Bible didn't know about freaking CHINA let alone other planets so it's not a very good guide to this subject. The universe is far too vast for mankind to be alone in it, even without solid proof, just logic and common sense. She said any aliens we might encounter were actually demons. I changed the subject. We *can't* be alone, can we?

We are all aliens lost in space, we just haven't realised it yet.

Just as the early Christians believed that the sun revolved around the earth, nothing has changed in 2007. Ignorance and int inability to think critically is the burden that hangs onto Christians. It is like a curse of their tradition. Don’t forget, they’re taught how do be sheep’s, inquiring for them is out of the question. Follow or burn in hells fire. What an easy way to gain control of a particular people. Talk about mind screw. Backing away from the emotional response now and siding with logics. I have never seen an extraterrestrial before, nor do I know of anyone that has, but let’s speak just logics here for a second… There are millions upon billions of planets in “our galaxy” – how is it possible to even believe for one second that we’re the only things living in the universe?

No one knows whether or not we are alone in this universe. I am also a Christian and I believe there is a possibilty that there is more life out there and no I don't mean deamons. God told us what he wanted us to know and that was passed down through disciples and various people. It's kind of like the game speak where the info slowly changes. Anyway, through a long chain of him telling us what he wanted us to hear that is what the bible is. Well that and human interpretation. God inpsired the bible but he wasn't the sole author. That being said, even if there was more life out there, why would he bother tellling us? Where is it written that he is obligated to tell us every minute detail? Think about it.

I find it very unlikely that we are alone. Just because there's no mention of it in the Bible doesn't mean it doesn't exist (your example of China being pretty good right there). The Bible talks about the creation of our world, but it does say that "God created the heavens AND the earth [emphasis mine]." To my way of thinking, creating "the heavens" covers a WHOLE lot of territory. As the line from "Contact" goes - if we are alone... "it'd be an awful waste of space."

before everything the former testomony existed in written variety thousands of years in the previous Christ. it isn't illogical to believe in God. there turned right into a time even as micro organism that become killing human beings might want to no longer be considered without the help of a microscope, yet there have been scientists who even although they could no longer see the micro organism realized it existed because there have been indicators and folk were experiencing some thing they could no longer see. They were made relaxing of and referred to as illogical and insane for decades. there turned right into a time even as medical human beings theory the earth become flat. there turned right into a time even as sensible human beings believed the universe turned right into a lot smaller than it really is. we've extreme powered telescopes which allow us to work out issues we once might want to no longer. no longer being waiting to work out some thing does no longer advise it does no longer exist. i do not see you as we communicate, yet i'm particular you exist. many stuff in this life require faith. basically because we do no longer have a technique to work out God, does no longer get rid of the thoughts of people for thousands of years. those who attempt to apply the evolution theory to disprove God are utilising some thing it really is basically a medical theory that couldn't provable and is supported in consumer-friendly words by way of alternative theoretical documents. yet they imagine it really is someway logical. ignore what someone thinks is logical, pick what your coronary heart and journey tells you.

Aliens? What about God? Ask your religious friend! Tell her I've got fairies at the bottom of the garden and their great great ever-so-great grandparents put the holes in the night sky so the light above it could shine through and we could admire the "stars". Wot fun!

There is no way we can be alone.........just look at the vast abundance of different life forms on our little planet. This universe contains an unimaginable variety of life. I believe that The Creator (call him/her God, Budda, Allah, Whatever) wouldn't quit at one little planet!!

No we are not alone in this giant cosmos. I would tell you more but my solar cells from my alien craft are low, so I need to leave this planet and recharge them. Good luck with you though.

Not a good discussion to have with a religious person. They can explain everything or deny everything because of the bible.
