What should i do as i am very soft by heart and my friends take advantage of this i try to be rude but cant be

I have had this problem my whole life .First of all I am not going to tell you your friends are not true friends because life experiences tell me that people take it as a sign of weakness and will use you friends and family alike but being a kind and loving person is not a bad thing and you should not be mistreated for it either so all you can really do is change the way you are or change the way you perceive things,meaning you will have to be rude by force or you can realize that you like to give even if you sometimes feel used after you do, kind of like buyers remorse.In the end it is how you will become you, the characteristics you need to be whole.

There is a difference between being rude and being firm. You need to learn that it is OK and not at all rude to sometimes say no. I only hope that you don't have to get really hurt by being taken advantage of in a major way before you learn that.

Being rude isn't the answer.

Setting boundaries of what is accepted from friend and what isn't. People know who they an use and walk on and will until the person says, no more. I know, I was one of the walked on ones and I had to learn to say no to people and choose friends who were real friends back, not just people who wanted something from me.

Letting people walk all over you, calling it soft of heart, doesn't do them any favors either.

there is no harm in saying no to your friends. it is not called being rude. It is being "assertive" You are entitled to your opnion. And listen, peer pressure has got many a people into deep trouble! Dont let that be your case. What would you prefer being thrown around or standing up for yourself.

Don't even think about being rude. It is good that you are soft and kind and gentle, so let us see what the bible says ,'be as gentle/ simple as the dove but be as subtle as the serpent.' So, don't try to become rude, instead become subtle.

Don't be afraid to say no. When you feel like you are about to give in to someone then just think about the times that person let you down. If they stop being your friend because you tell them no this one time then I guess they really weren't meant to be in the first place.
