As has been said, open 'my computer' and find your PSP there; it should be F: or G: . When you open that drive, you are in what is called your 'root directory' which is where your music folder etc. is housed. you can drag and drop Mp3's into your music directory from your 'my documents' folder on your PC.

for video, you will need to donload or convert Mp4 files. there are plenty of places to download them (such as bush torrent or www.thepiratebay.org) but if you insist on concerting your own you will need a program. there are plenty commercially available, but as free ones go, I would reccomend either personal media manager, available at www.pspupdates.com or PSP video express (this dosn't allow for DVD-->Mp4 conversion though).

either way, yuo are going to need to have at least a 512mb memory stick to store video (or more than about 10 songs).

hope this helps ... if it does, do me a favour and make Nick Cave's "red right hand" the first song you play on your PSP.
