I am looking for pictures from Turin Italy in 1967.?

I lived in italy as a child and am looking for info. on the area i lived in. My father was a captain in the army and the year was 1967, I don't know what the army base is called. I know it was somewhere around Pisa Italy. My mother said something about being about 5 miles from Pisa. I would like to see the houses in that area if possible to find out if the home we lived in is still there. I do know that we were able to bike ride to the beach from the house

What you're looking for it's for sure the Camp Darby base close to Pisa and Livorno. It has nothing to do with Torino (Turin) that's abt.200 miles far from this base.I feel you could have mixed up,in your memory, with Tombolo that's the populare name of that area. From yr description I've no doubts about the fact that the US base where you and your father were in 1967 is the Camp Darby / SETAF of Coltano - 5 miles from Pisa and 10 miles from Livorno (Leghorn) also known as Livorno US base.

As to the pictures this is a military restricted area and I think your house was inside the base; I'm sorry but I couldn't find further pictures aside those of the website here above. If instead yr house was out of the base I presume it was either in the resort of Tirrenia http://www.vacanzeinversilia.com/eng/tirrenia.html
or of Calambrone http://www.vacanzeinversilia.com/eng/calambrone.html alongside the Tirrenian sea. Should be this one the correct option you must know that it will be really hard to identify yr old home since both areas have been ugly changed in the last 10-20 years. Here is the map of the area. We are in Tuscany, the nicest region of the whole Italy (where I leave too...!!)
