Tradition. If you look at the major conferences, it is their schools that have all the big moments in sports. Ohio St. and Michigan, for example, is considered by many as the greatest rivalry in all of sports, and they play in the Big Ten. Is their respect deserved? Some would argue against it, but there is rich history there and that cannot be overlooked.

I think the Big-Ten deserves the respect they get. But i also believe the SEC should start getting more respect.

Big ten sucks. Their teams wouldn't last a month in the SEC. Notice the #1 and #3 teams are in the SEC and they both destroyed their opponents while the two highest ranked Big ten teams were crushed in their bowl games.

For having the best school there is and that is Wisconsin!!!!! SEC fans are more obsessed with the Big Ten then the SEC it's funny!!! Holy crap a thumbs down that really hurts my feelings!!! Eaga is a typical SEC fan that shows disrespect!! That just shows the intelligences of some of these ignorant fans. The Big Ten Sucks what a great point . You are so intelligent Eaga. This just proves my point about the SEC fans being obsessed!!!

In case you haven't notice Michigan football program has the most wins of ANY college football teams in the nation, including but not limited to Notre Dame, and any SECT team ,period. Hail to the Victors and the Big Ten Conference who consistently lead the nation in game attendance and allegiance! Yeah, no T.

Big Ten has pro like programs. The SEC has pro like athletes. With Tressel gone and Carr possibly fired, the big ten is in decline the opposite is true of the SEC. SEC will dominate for years to come.

b/c of their history. I mean look at Michigan, what is their bowl game record the past few years? Lloyd Carr can win every game except Ohio State and the bowl game. Then Ohio State, how funny is that?! I love watching the Big 10 get their overrated a$$es kicked.
