His mom is the worst! She gets a check from the government every month for having "multiple personality disorder". In almost 3 years I've yet to see anything close to her being crazy but have seen a lot of her manipulating. His parents have been split up for almost 5 years and he has been taking care of her even had her live with us for a year. She talked him out of us getting married when we first found out I was pregnant and even talked about commiting suicide. Recently she talks about breaking up with her trucker boyfriend that helps her out financially and has asked us for money a couple of times. Or should I say talks him into it and then it causes trouble between he and I because of it. I just want her to get out of our lives and stop being such a leech. Steve wont tell her no becuase he feels obligated, but I feel like she is grown and should be able to take care of herself. I wish I knew what to do. I dont want to sepend the rest of my life with her taking advantage of us.

Personally, your bf needs to grow a pair and institue a no money policy with all relatives and friends. Its a wise move for all!

I swear it was me that might have wrote that question. Yeah what is with men and always having to do more for mommy than his own kids and wife.My husband jumps for his mom at eight o'clock in the morning to go get a pack of smokes, and he always say yes to his mother when she invites us for dinner, which is pretty much everyday. I dont think theres much of a solution out there that you can help you, you just have a case of the mamas boy syndrum.Sorry

Tell your b/f that money he's giving away to his mother needs to go towards a worthwhile cause....his daughter's college education. Ask him does he think his mother will help finance that?

If your boyfriend doesn't talk to her than i don't see any resolution.
Your best bet will be to dump your boyfriend. He's pretty much use to being manipulated by his mom and i don't think he will change.

well your mother in law couldn'lt be the problem because you don't have a mother in law being that you live with your boyfriend. It is your boyfriend's mother who is medling. You have to be married to have a mother in law
