Betta fish are the only commonly availible type of fish that will be able to live permanently in a bowl without any filtration. In addition to their gills they have an organ similar to a lung that allows them to breath air which means that in captivity they can tolerate stagnant water with a low oxygen content. A filter is a nice addition, but not required.
Goldfish should not be kept in bowls. They are extremely messy, grow large, and are more sensative to water quality than most people think. Good luck,

None, you shouldn't keep any fish whatsoever without any sort of filtration. Thats like giving you a home without a tub or shower, only worse since they have to breath it. I know many people do keep bettas and even a single goldfish in a bowl with success. However, for the well being of the fish and better growth, health, and color, I would never keep a fish without a filter.

Bettas or goldfish are best in fish bowls wihtout a filter. But down the road you might want a tank so waste can be filtered out and make the water quality better.

The best fish you can keep in a bowl with no filtration would be a betta fish. Do remmember that you may only have one male betta fish as they will tend to fight for the territory. If you get adult male bea fish they will not fight. You can also have female betta fish in groups of six or more because they do fight when in groups of less than six for the territory. Goldfish are also a good type of fish but you will need to change their water regularly or they will die due to amonia.

Firstly you can put any fish in that bowl.
Constraints are Size & Numbers because other than oxygen, fish also need to have enough space to move about.
Calculate the volume by putting measured qty of water in bowl. Thumbrule of 5cm per 4.55 ltr or 2" per gal will give you maximum qty allowed. DO NOT GO FOR FULL.
Practically you can go for
1. Anabantids like Betta (Siamese Fighters) (no two males togather) Paradise Fish, Gouramies (no big ones) like Blue, Three Spot, Pearl, Dwarf, Honey, Copper etc.
OR
2. Small Tetra say six of them if volume permits.
or
3. Zebra Danios (no less than Trios pls. two males one female)
or
4. Guppies / Mollies / Platies / Swoardtail / Tranjelins etc. (Trios again but in ratio of one male to two females or still better two males & four to five females)
You need not have filter if you sifon twice to thrice a week. Again its all game of numbers.
For any query pls. mail back.

None, you may not keep any fish by any ability with none type of filtration. Thats like providing you with a house with no bathtub or bathe, in consumer-friendly words worse on account that they could breath it. i comprehend a lot of human beings do keep bettas or maybe a unmarried goldfish in a bowl with success. in spite of the undeniable fact that, for the nicely-being of the fish and larger useful boom, well being, and colour, i might want to by no ability keep a fish with no filter out.

A Betta is about they only choice you have here. Goldfish and other popular fish will die quickly due to waste build up and depletion of precious oxygen, but Bettas and other labyrinth fish breathe air and do not rely as much on the oxygen in their water.

Betta's. They can be kept alone (the males have to be). Goldfish are too dirty they poop up their water and can make you have to change the bowl very regularly. I have a Betta in a bowl at work and he has been alive for over a year. I also don't have to clean his bowl except for every week or so. He has also been able to make it through the weekend's alone without starving.
