As a nurse for many years I have been faced with many times. The best thing is let her talk about whatever she wants to and listen to her. She may have fears she would like to share or she may have special wishes she would like to have for her service. Do not deny the fact she is not going to live a lot longer. This is very hard for the family many times but so many people facing death have a need to discuss this with someone. She might have a favorite song she would like to hear or perhaps reading to her from a special book. Just sharing the time she has left will be special for both of you. When it is all over you may be left with some very special memories of your aunt. God Bless you.

Even when they are sick and the disease is affecting their mental functioning, they still seem to really appreciate it when someone is there just to sit with them and watch TV with them. I think it gets lonely spending all that time in the hospital and bed ridden at home with strange nurses and doctors around, and you let them know you care just by being with them for a few hours at a time...

Talk to her, and make sure that she knows that you love her. She SHOULD appreciate the fact that you are there with her,...... and for her. You shouldnt have to DO anything that costs money. If I were her, Id just appreciate the fact that you were there to show me that you loved me......

just spend as much time with her as u can,and try to gather other people to do things with her so she will feel cared and stuff like that
