Well i have an ovarian cyst that i have had for a few months now. Once a month it causes extreme pain that has caused 3 trips to the ER. Now i have had 3 ultrasounds and a catscan pretty much a little of everything and they have determined that it is INDEED a cyst and that it isn't cancerous. This has been going on for some time and every time i ask about doing something, anything, for it they just say well lets wait and see what happens. come back in 2-3 months and we'll check on it again. well im getting sick of it. when i bring up the question of other options they pretty much ignore me or just pass off the question. they did finally prescribe birth control to regulate it but im wondering what some of my other options would be if this doesn't work. i am sick of pain!

you should ask about surgery to remove this particular cyst. It shouldn't take this long. We get cysts every month that's normal but if it gets really big they need to remove it. It won't prevent you from getting another one but you should do some research online so you're prepared when you speak to them.

i have polycystic ovarian syndorme and it sucks. i have been taking birth control since i was 11 and i'll be 31 in april. i take yasmin birht control and that seems to work best for me now. it took forever to be diagnosed and i went through so much pain and suffering. u may want to find a doc that specialises in it. try this website for help.

Go to another Dr. You should not have to suffer. You need to get it removed.
