I would check out artists like Ben Folds, Damien Rice, and Bright Eyes. I personally love Mad World... There's even a punk version to that song... It sounds just as interesting...

Ben Folds and Ben Folds Five focus on chiefly piano motifs, but has some harder rockish sounds...

Damien Rice just makes overall depressing sad music that just is plain mind blowing in lyrics.

Bright Eyes combines everything into one. No matter what he makes, you could always enjoy at least that's me. :)

Hope you enjoy.

Check out the song American Splendor by Eytan Mirsky. Try listening to a band called Fairport Convention (old british folk...exceptional)...and I'd reccomend anything by Sandy Denny (of Fairport Convention) and Joni Mitchell.

I agree with the person that said Enya..can't get softer than Enya...

Also try Andrea Bocelli's "Romanza" that was a nice soft cd

John Tesh is one of the softest people i think..lol

Some Elton John..Phil Collin...Some old Lionel Richie.maybe that song "Hello" or "Lady" ..Lady is a nice soft song and I heard someone in jazz play it and it was beautiful..very nice and smooth and relaxing..

I love that song "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran...thats a soft song..

Hahaha..I hate to say im telling u all my favorites..lol

Sting has a couple of soft songs..Seal...I love Seal's "Dreaming In Metaphor's"...

Also..some Sade'...
