15 minutes of every waking hour from now on until she's in elementary school, you want to be engaged in floor time. this is time spent on activities she likes and, as she gets older, she directs. what's very important now, as others mentioned here, is being held, which she should ideally be nearly every waking minute at this age, and being talked with. babies only form connections between their brain cells when they are held!

you don't only talk to her, tho that's great and important, but you notice her signals and respond to them. repeat the sounds she makes, pretend you understand what she's saying and if she's really earnest say, 'tell me more.'

show her things and tell her about them. have her touch things and describe what they are, how they feel, how the look.

you want to give her lots of affection, little kisses, songs, touching her feet.

You can talk to the baby. Have a full conversation with him/her. Show the baby things. Babies like high contrast things, mostly black, white and red objects. Walk around the house and show him/her everything and name the objects. Read. Sing. Play on the floor on an activity mat. Play music. At this age, baby is most interested in YOU...so spend lots of time talking, singing, and just holding and looking at your baby.

At 5 weeks old they still just want to be held almost all the time, and talked to to get to know you better.
Just talk to her, play little games with her feet and hands. Carry her around, and let her observe her environment.

They dont' start playing independantly until about 4 to 5 months old. Have fun while she's still small.
I have a giant of a 6 month old now. lol

Well your baby needs a lot of your attention at this time. Play music for the baby or lay the baby in a swing or bouncer.

Get one of those slings for baby to ride in. This frees your arms and you can do some stuff while packing the little one around. My friend has one and baby has been in it for months, makes for good bonding too and even daddy can try it out!
Good luck

Most babies like the musical mobiles that attach to his bed. Pacifiers are also good.
