Is the American version cut up or out of order or something? My roommate and I watched the first five episodes on Adult Swim and couldn't get the gist of what was going on or what the point of the whole thing was. We're not some random bimbos who are new to anime or something, but we still couldn't get into it. Was it just us or is it just a bad-ish series?

I am a fan of Trinity Blood but I do prefer reading the Japanese manga (raw) over watching the anime. I also own the Trinity Blood Canon (an official encyclopedia on terms, etc. used in the manga, anime, cd dramas, and novels). Trinity Blood is supposed to be enjoyed as a combination of all the mediums I mentioned above and not as a stand-alone anime. In my opinion, the anime just adds a little something to the manga, and somewhat acts as a lure to get Japanese viewers to buy the mangas, dramas and novels.

Also, if I may add, whenever an anime is translated into another language, there are a lot of things that get lost in translation and some scenes deemed unworthy are cut especially in animes dealing with religious stuff.

My advice is to read at least the first manga to get a gist on what the heck it is all about before jumping head on with the anime. I tell you, the manga is great.

Always watch anime in the original Japanese. America cuts out so much and changes so much of the dialogue that it totally messes up the original story. I love Trinity Blood and downloaded it so I could watch it in the original language with english subtitles.

It's not to bad, you'll have to get toward the end before you understand where Nightroad is from and just what he actually is compared to the humans and the vampires. Chin up though, there's only about 25 episodes in the whole series and you can see all of them on Youtube.

It is often like this with anime. The first few episode are just ramdom stories then at the middle you start with the main one.

I just started watching it and I think the show is great. Though I don't really understand what is going yet...
