they may listen for a heart beat but it depends on a few things one being your size, not everyone hears it that early, so don't be surprised if they don't hear it. So Good Luck tomorrow

They will most likely ask you a bunch of medical history questions, draw blood and may do an internal exam and pap smear. They may try to hear with the doppler but it is unlikely that you will hear the heartbeat until sometime after 12 weeks. The baby's heart is beating and has been for a long time but the baby is just too small to really be able to hear the heartbeat yet. Most doctors will not order an ultrasound unless there is a question of the age of the baby or something else needs to be seen. Every minute of pregnancy is 85% waiting and 15% being worried and excited. Don't set yourself up by imagining what may or may not be heard or done at appointments. Make sure to ask your doctor what you can expect.
Congrats and best wishes

I had my first appointment around 6 weeks, they felt for my uterus but couldnt find it yet. I seem to think that if they cant feel the uterus they cant hear the heartbeat with the dopler only with an ultrasound. We had an ultrasound at 8 weeks to determine the age of the baby, and heard the heartbeat, and at our appointment today we heard the heartbeat. I am now 11 weeks. I know how much you want to hear the heartbeat, it is so amazing. Dont be to upset if you cant hear it yet. It will happen. Good Luck

At my 32 week visit is was nothing special just a normal old visit. I didn't get checked for dilatation until last week (36 weeks) My 3rd ultrasound was at 28 weeks - to check on my boy's kidneys (they were abnormal at week 21) - I won't be getting another ultrasound unless something doesn't seem right. BUT of course each doctor is different! So they may do things differently!

A heartbeat can be detected as early as 18 days after conception.

I have 3 children but can't really remember! It's not the first visit though. I think it's at about 12 weeks. I believe on the the first visit they just take vials of blood for testing. They also sometimes do an ultrasound. They did at my doctors office at least. Hope everything goes smoothly and congrats!

the heartbeat begins to beat at around 25 days in the womb. depending on your size, more tissue to search through obviously, they may be able to hear it. i heard my daughters the first visit, i was just about 2 months. hope you can it is an amazing experience.

If they just use a doppler which is placed on your stomach then a heartbeat can not be heard usually until about 12 weeks but if they do an ultrasound it can be heard earlier.
