i play with some strands of hair near the top of my head - i find it very relaxing but it makes my husband angry - why - he is a psychologist - is their a mental reason for liking to twirl my hair - i see other women doing it

LOL! I don't know why, but I do it too. I also swoop my hair up on top of my head just for fun. Sometimes I will take a lock of hair and tie a knot in it.
Hmmm, maybe it's because I have stick-straight hair and I'm trying to find a cheap way to put some curl in it....

I can remember doing this as a child. I twisted my hair and sucked my thumb. It was relaxing. as a child. I think it musta been something going on in the housewhole as in mom and dad. I was way to young. You and I must of heard some arguments going on with the parents and immediately turned to twisting hair and me also sucking my thumb.It is deep seeded.

Some people twist hair cause their were nervous some cause they were stress.Twisting your hair is like breathing in and out slowly when you're stress.Some think, while they twist their hair and by twisting their hair they think deeper.Twisting your hair is like relaxing too and sometimes it makes u go sleep.

Absent minded fidgeting, or a subliminal sexual over tune. better still why not ask Your husband what it. Tell Him that I would like to know what causes it, the that way You will not be lying to Him. Keep the 'truth' in a marriage, and You keep the marriage going, don't You?

I do it when I'm thinking really hard about something or kind of daydreaming. I wouldn't see anything wrong with it. Maybe there is some mental reason that your husband know of...If you find out let me know.

Nerves or could be thinking diffrtent people do it for diffrent reasons it is like the person shakes his foot or the person cant stand still all the same

Yeah, I just do it when I get bored or when I'm looking at my split ends. For no reason, sometimes it gets into a habit but I just do it every once in a while. < <
