LOVE the name Garrett. I had a friend named Garrett once, and he was a righteous dude! I also like the name Barrett, which is similar.
Of course, many people like my name too, which is Graydon. There aren't too many of us; in fact, I know of only one other guy named Graydon: Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair.
As for a middle name, keep it a little more common, like James, or Shawn, or Lee.

Garrett is an awesome boy name!! Very strong. I would use something equally substantial like Eugene, Dakota, Xavier, Christopher, etc.. for the middle name. Or you could chose a family name for the middle. BLessings
