Very closely indeed. This is a defining moment for our nation, and what the Democrats do, or don't do, will shape our future. If they go along again with BushCo and not stand up and be counted after the election in Nov., there are going to be a lot of very angry people out there ready to dump them as they did the Republicans. Either the Democratic Party is the Party of Compassion, or it isn't anymore, and with the deaths of over 600,000 Iraqis and over 25,000 dead or wounded Americans, they better have something better to say than "me too."

I will see how everyone reacts as a whole, I have a republican rep however, so I have my doubts as to whether he will oppose (though the way they have been acting of late, who knows). But yes I will look at his actions individualy as well.

Check the official response on the telly, and read the national and local papers the following day. Many elected reps also post releases on their websites.
I'm also doing a drinking game....anytime Bush says or implies, "stay the course", I'm gonna sip. I figure I'll be completely hammered within 10 minutes.

You are hilarious!! Who cares how your reps react to his speech! He has the last word and it's final! He is not going to pull troops out, get used to it!

Sure and I will keep in mind that Bush has nothing to lose now and everything to gain for his party.

what do you mean by "react"?... what they say afterward? how much they clap? the looks on their faces?
I plan to see what they have to say about it... but I probably won't be watching that close...
