It means that whoever called you a lush thinks that you drink too much in social situations and also that you become very "friendly" while intoxicated....
It does not mean that you are an alcholic or a drunk, just that a little goes a long way with you.

lush actually means generous growth -- as in a plant that is really thriving and has lots of leaves and is very green and thriving. How it came to be associated with alcohol i have no idea, but if someone says you are a lush, it means you drink too much.

There are a couple of meanings. In the US it general means someone who is a bit tipsy and flirtatious. Generally applies to women.
In other parts of the world (such as Australia where i live) the term 'lush' is used as a term of endearment, being short for Luscious or luxurious.
So if some called you that, they think you are a two pot flirty screamer or luscious. hehe. Maybe both :)
We even have some shops in Oz call "lush". most famous one being a soap, cosmetic, bath place

Lush when describing a person means alcoholic. "She was dancing on the bar and puked in the bathroom, that lush."
Lush can also be= growing vigorously especially with luxuriant foliage. " That is a lush garden."

I've heard that term used to describe someone who drinks a lot or is fond of an alcoholic beverage or two. Not quite alcoholism but not just social drinking. Frequent drinking.
