Put a couple of spoons of sugar in some water, stir it up, hold your breath and drink it. If that doesn't work, here's one that will - put a paper towel over a glass of water and drink the water through the paper towel. Both of these work extremely well. I have hiccups at least 5 times a day and these are the things my doctor told me about.

take in a deep breath and hold it, silently counting to thirty (or until you can't hold it anymore).
try your best not to let any hiccup that's trying to escape get out before that, or else you have to start all over again.
it usually works for me.

Suck in a REALLY deep breath. Then take even more "sips" of air, until your lungs can hold no more.
Hold your breath as long as possible.
The idea is to expand your diaphragm, and then hold it, to break the spasms.

Drink 7 big gulps of water. If you hiccu pin the middle of those gulps start over again.
