Yes, unless you have been told "no" for some reason by your doctor or midwife.
If your amniotic sac (bag of waters) is still intact, THAT is your baby's protection from the germs of the outside world, not the mucous.
Go for it!!!

As long as your water hasn't broken, it should be okay. I never knew when I lost my mucous plug, either of my two pregnancies. It was gone when the contractions started and I went to the hospital but I never felt or saw it leave. Labor may start soon (hopefully not for another week though) but don't dwell on it. Now is a good time to refold and rearrange the changing table and all the baby's stuff for the 600th time and to play any video or computer games that you like to play (trust me, you won't have much time to do that soon), call your girlfriends over to play cards or whatever you like to do, try to enjoy some time with yourself as a woman; for the next few months it will be easy to be just a mom and less so a woman.
Congratulations and best wishes for a calm and wonderful delivery

Why not? It is going to be a good 3-6 weeks before you can have sex again...maybe even longer than that depending on if you have a c-section or a really fussy baby. My boyfriend and I had "date night" the night before we went into the hospital and I really think that it was the best thing for us. Good luck with the baby...and enjoy your last few nights with out a screaming little one.

Why would you want to? Nothing like sex in between contractions! This is your second pregnancy and you're unsure if you lost your mucous plug? I'm not sure you should even be breeding.....You know they have these people that have Doctorates in Medicine that even specialize in prenatal matters, you might want to look into that, otherwise tell your husband not to worry if a hand grabs him.....or if you don't mind opening yourself and your baby to potential infection, then I say go for it!

Absolutely, as long as your water hasn't broken. I had sex way after losing plug with first baby. I had sex the day I went into labor, asked the doc if I'd maybe compromised baby's health, because it worried me and she said not at all.

It's best to consult your doctor, because you may have other factors in play. However, I can tell you that it will increase your chances of an infection. Also, there are certain components of your husband's semen which can cause contratctions, but not neccessarily labor. Having said that, I would recommend using a condom.

It is perfectly okay to have sex if you are not having any problems other than losing your mucous plug. It is very healthy for you to do so.

no there is a pretty big risk of infection even if you and your husband are healthy and clean. I was curioous with my pregnancies also so I asked the dr. if you do end up with an infection it can be very dangerous for you and your baby

You are probably okay as long as your pregnancy has been uncomplicated and healthy. However, if you start to feel crampy stop. Blessings

Yes, it is fine. You can't harm the baby. You can right up till you go in labor.
