I believe the first experiment is called---true breeding
The second is self pollinating
This is a very difficult assignment. You really need to research this, and then write about it in your own words.
You might also try for pictures of the different colors of flowering peas to show dominate and recessive traits, useing + for dominate and minus for recessive. I would suggest useing Punnett squares for both true breeding and self pollinating. Good Luck and you really need to find an adult to go through this step, by step, with you.

Mendel learned that crossing purebred parents produces an F1 generation of offspring that all have the dominant form of the trait.

In Mendel's second experiment, he let the F1 individuals self-pollinate and he learned that the F2 generation shows both forms of the trait in the ratio of 3 dominant to 1 recessive.
