No really if it is moving then it probably a slug of some sort.I don't know what state you are in but your state ranger site should have a listing of the flora and fauna that is native to your area.Most sites even have links to photos to aid in identification.Good hunting.

It looks like some sort of slug ..... how long is it ? it's hard to tell the size from the photo.

You enlarged it right? Anyways, I am not sure exactly what it is, but I have the same problem. I've seen it before.

I asked my dad and he said they were like slugs of some sort. *shrugs*

it sure isn't a pet...

interesting.. it could be a Caterpillar with a mobile cocoon.
