it received't play the voltage is different and so are the video games American wii video games are basically adaptable for the american verison of the Wii Wii video games in Japan are adaptable for the jap verison of the Wii also the voltage is different that you'll pick a step down

Sadly, Wii games are region-locked, so no US games will be able to be played on a Japano-Wii. As for changing the language to English...not sure.

Yes, the Wii will play your U.S. games because they are both played in NTSC. I've cited a map for you to refer to to see what countries use what television system they play on.
