I just realized the screen saver on my Toshiba Satellite laptop is not working. I called the GEEK Squad and got NO help! Was told it may have something to do with the power supply/source? I've only had it 30 days and I either have to drive an hour and a half for them to see it or pay for phone help. It was working when I first got it and I did try a system restore back to that date. It did not help. No wild guesses please, I need someone who knows what to do. Would really appreciate help!!

I have a screen saver selected "aquarium" it was set for 10 minutes but I changed it to 3 minutes, clicked apply and ok but that did not resolved the issue either.

Also, I can preview the screen saver through the desktop properties. It just does not start on it's own after the computer has set idle.

Are you using External Optical Mouse or Wireless Mouse? If yes, that might be the problem. Because if you are using a wireless mouse, it will continuously send and receive signal to the laptop that causes the screen saver to stop working.

Make sure you have a screen saver selected (Display properties in Control panel) and that the activation threshold isn't excessive.
