I don't know about your spit being delicious or not, but people are known for doing lots of other "things" with and in their mouths. What exactly are you worried about?
How much different than kissing would it be, albiet rather one sided.

I have been with guys into some weird stuff, one guy i was with would not drink anything until i had spit in the drink first. I told him one day i was going to pee in it (big mistake) he almost lost it....never did take him up on that one though.

he likes you does that bother you if it does then maybe you should be concerned or if you like him tell him kissing is much more enjoyable to get the same flavor.
