up to just after New Years i was going out with my girlfriend who is 19.
Just before Xmas I made a comment that was very insensitive and hurt her an incredible amount.
She was talking to me about her overhearing the doctors saying about Hepatitus and when she heard this, she was thinking about fatal diseases and the best I could come up with in the way of reassurance was 'I hope this isnt an excuse to not see my mum and dad over xmas'.
Since 3rd January, see has been totally single minded about not being in a relationship with me.
She still loves me although up to the last few days she used to say it back when I used to say it to her.
We no longer have sex although she says she still finds me very sexy, she says we must resist this as its inappropriate for friends to have sex and sleep together (although for the previous 2 nights we did).
She wants to have hugs with me and we kiss each ova on the cheek and sometimes lips.
She has said that she wants to continue seeing me.

... as she felt if we didnt her heart couldnt stand it.
We also text each other daily almost as much as when we were going out.
She said that she thinks she will love me forever but that the love will probably change over time.
She also says at some time, we will have to move on.
We have seen each other practically every night since the split both on my and her request.
She started university in October.
She has changed her Myspace profile to single from in a relationship.
I have asked her if she would like a break or space and she says no.
She still has a picture of us together up in her room when we went to my friends wedding.
I am so confused...

Breaking up and moving on is hard to do. If a girl says she doesn't want to date you, take it at that. If you can't handle the "Friends" part of this, move on and find another girl to day. Both of you are young and there are plenty of girls out there for you to date.

I think you should leave this "girl"to her college work and let her grow up.
She probably does think a lot of you but considering the age gap she doesn't want the serious relationship your looking for.
I think it's time you looked for love nearer your own age group and let this" girl "go to school .

If she has a little space then she may find that she really misses you and change her mind, but if you keep harrassing her she will run.

your 36 and she is 19 well number one that is a big age difference. it sure would have me thinking of moving on. But its your life so if i was you and you truley love this young lady i would be sitting her down and talking with her your to old to be playing head games. She is iether going to be with you in every aspect of an adult relationship or the both of you should be going your own ways. sounds like your going to lose her to me i personally think its because she is so young.

you need to sit down and talk to her about what going on, if she
feel this way it for a reason, maybe it time to find out what the
deal is,
