I'm friends with a guy that I am attracted to, but don't want to be in a relationship with. It's an odd dynamic but I'm being honest. I have thought about asking him whether or not he'd be into being "friends with benefits" (or having sex with no strings attached). We're two mature adults, and I'm sure we could take the relationship to that area without messing up the friendship that we share.

Would a man be offended by this kind of proposition? If I DO decide to ask him, how should I approach it (wording, type of scenario, etc.)? I don't want to offend him or scare him at all, but I really want to ask him if he'd be into it.

Please, guys, I need your honest opinions.

When the two of your are together and have a little privacy, tell him that you have a topic to briefly discuss with him and need his comments. Then tell him if he does not like or approve of what you are going to say that you want to remain good friends.
At that point simply tell him you are not looking for a relationship but would like to be intimate with him on occasions. You and he can both still date others. At that point, do not talk anymore. Just watch the expression on his face and wait for him to speak first. You will then have your answer.

Are you this "chum" honestly courting? If no longer, then why does there could be an respectable type of "split"? 18 years is a lengthy time period to understand someone and opportunities are extreme you've probable grown aside or have a lot less in effortless than you used to. in spite of the undeniable fact that, it really is probable a nasty theory to cut back-off your friendship in a adverse way because it truly is going to reason both one among you unnecessary anger and rigidity and make issues awkward for you in case you ever could pick to confer with this human being lower back contained in the destiny. i might want to point basically spending a lot less and a lot less time with the guy till you do not see one yet another in any respect. If the guy keeps making efforts to the contact you in consumer-friendly words make excuses and do not answer their calls. protecting your telephone grew to grow to be off works extremely nicely each so often. particular, it truly is extremely flaky in spite of the undeniable fact that it really is plenty more effective useful than the adverse option. I honestly have carried out this with numerous previous associates and it labored swell.

It would offend me if i really loved that person. I would feel pretty unhappy!
The question is why dont you want to be with him. By doing it this way, if he loves you!
