Nah, we're from TN and we've had some pretty CRAZY warm days lately. Finally getting cold here. Now I used to have SAD very bad once the time changed and it was pitch black at 5:30pm.
I noticed that once we moved from town and back to the country my SAD disappeared. I truly think it's because of the tons of evergreens surrounding our home.
If you've got a green thumb get a few house plants and pop in some 100 watt light bulbs. I'm not joking lol. Brighten up the place a bit.

We live in Alaska & I LOVE the weather here. We are expecting more snow tonight & tomorrow. It is 5 degrees & is suppose be below zero again tonight.... We live right on the ocean so I see the gorgeous water everyday & I watch the storms mother nature throws at us with amazement & awe. During the summer we have pleasant weather, about 75 - 80 & that is as hot as I like it.
I LOVE long cold winters in front of the woodstove. Stepping outside into the cold air with the smell of wood smoke in the air.....
NOTHING beats winter in Alaska....
