I am using a non-internet connection machine... and want to set up the IP address for the same. I am using windows 2000 professional with SP4 and need to install an application that require the hostname and domain for installation. Incase this information is not sufficient please revert.

Your IP address is what it is.

Go to www.whatismyip.com and you will be told your address.

A standalone machine does not connect to anything. It has no network at all.
So you don't need an IP address.

If some silly program insists on an IP address, you can have anything other than 0.0.0.0 (try 1.1.1.1)

set it to 255.255.255.001
