I am from a 3rd world Asian country, I beg to differ to all those who answered that women from impoverished countries have a more appreciative attitude than their counterparts in western countries simply because they have an agenda of getting into their countries. Considering the answers/opinion/sjudgement (educated or not) from this site, i wouldn't think of choosing to be in your country than in my home country. Yes I know, people in Y!answers is not a representation of the western countries as a whole, but hey, it is a generalizing question. But I agree to those who answered that regardless of your origin or your gender, depending on who you are and how you were brought up you can have an appreciative nature.

Of course they are, however there are some that still know the difference, and know how to be grateful, & appreciate what God has given them, they are like 1 in a thousand.
I think though that regardless of your possessions, whether you are a male or a female, people ought to change their attitude when it is out of line and especially if they are aware of it. Everyone knows, when it is time for an adjustment, but I hear you about other women from other cultures, there is also bad women with bad attitudes in other cultures, but for the most part, it's everywhere, no question about it being a lot more present in american culture.

Yeah they are. But it's not just American women. It's all non third world women and men, as a majority. I'm an American women, but I appretiate every breath I take. I think it's just society. And also, if you go to a third world country they obviously don't have very much so they appretiate every little thing, which comes in a part with culture, too. American women (and men) (and other countries) are used to having luxuries I don't they relize how the other world is doing and what their lives are like.

The day when every American woman can compose a short paragraph without making a kazillion spelling errors will be the day that I will agree to the statement that 'American women are spoiled'. Judging by the current state of affairs, however, that will be the same day that Hell freezes over. Ladies, DON'T LEAVE YOUR EDUCATION BEHIND. What do many Americans lack (male and female alike)? A solid (public school) education and affordable access to higher education. The Europeans and Canadians are in disbelief at the appaulling standards in your country. I mean what I said - you guys like to believe you have everything when in fact you DON'T. The moral of the story is there is more to the person than just the amount of junk they manage to accumulate over a lifetime.

Anyone from a third world country would seem grateful for anything they were given. The rich are least appreciative people of all. To generalize and just say American women is not fair.

I think generally the society as a whole in america is not spoiled but they do take everything for granted and are very ungrateful because of what men and women are taught in america. But one thing that people in america are not taught is that people have it worse than others. it is true that people in third world countries do appreciate what they have alot more is because limited opportunities and they take what they have alot ,more seriously. also they want to better themselves to not live in poverty.

Some American women are spoiled, but many women in 3rd world countries are submissive and have no sense of self worth.

Because they have not been liberated.... American women are 'equals' in US (even though we hold lesser jobs)... we have much more freedom to be who we are.
Many other cultures treat women as subordinates - subserviant... it's only recent that women - in general - have gained freedom in the US.
Don't kid yourself - it's still a man's world. That's why we're called WOman.

This one is easy. They want to marry you so they can get American citizenship, or whatever country you're from. 3rd world country women will worship you to get that green card.
