this isnt a sexist question for you but my friend at school who is on varsity and pretty good said that he could beat ANY girl like Lisa Leslie just because they are girls and basically that men are just THAT much better at basketball then woman are, are there any woman out there that have beaten a highschool/college man, or do you think that men are THAT much better.. I mean obviously men are naturally better at sports like basketball due to there height and strength... so basically would some highschool boy that plays basketball be able to beat someone like lisa leslie?

wow...ure friend is very confident, which is ok to have, but to be overly confident is a slight problem...um i do NOT think he can beat players such as diana taurasi from phoenix, or k.b. sharp from indiana, or cappie poindexter from phoenix, or even cash and angelina williams from the detroit shocks..when he has played one of these players..and actually WON..then please let me know...i know cappie, angelina, and kb personally by the way..so if he wants i can schedule a personal one on one game with one of them if he wants...

It all depends on who is your friend. What if this question was like 3 years ago and your friend who is on Varsity was LeBron James. I say he has pretty compeling argument. Or any guys that went straight from High School to college. I believe there is one talented guy in the Chicago area right now playing Center for his Varsity team who is pretty damn good. I think he will go straight to the Pros. Is that your friend? Then I say, he has a good chance on beating Lisa Leslie.
His remarks is still sexist b/c not all men can beat women...but in general, men in the same level as women would probably win. So if you take the top guard in men's college basketball or nba versus the top guard in the women's side perspectively, I would guess men would win 99.9% of it. But if you put the top guard of the WNBA b/c the last man on the bench for an NBA team, that would be a good game.
But if your friend can walk the talk and back it up on the court, he is right. He can beat anyone.

Your friend is a knucklehead. You see some people can't seem to think outside of their own box. He hasn't come across a woman that can beat him so he thinks none exist. He fails to realize the Lisa Leslie is a freak of nature. She scored 101 points IN ONE HALF in high school. She does offseason workouts with Kobe Bryant. I'm sure your knucklehead friend would never be allowed in the same GYM as Kobe, let alone play with him in drills.
I WOULD say the best NBA players would cream the best WNBA players, but those girls would beat down most of the guys out here that say they would be stars in the WNBA.

1 on 1, most dominant college players and only a few high school players beat Lisa Lesley in her prime, but any high school team gets creamed in embarrassing fashion in a regular game against any WNBA team. There are probably some college teams that could beat a WNBA team, but whoopty friggin doo, they beat a bunch of girls. I think your friend needs to stop making himself feel like a big boy by dreaming on beating girls, and focus on beating guys. If he is not being scouted by colleges or NBA bound, then he should not talk.

well i doubt your friend can beat a WNBA superstar. being on the varsity team of a HS team doesnt mean anything because there are hundreds of thousands of guys playing on varsity teams. and i doubt his HS is a perrenial power house and that their games are being shown on national tv.
