It depends on where you are. Usually Walmart starts you at just above minimum wage. Then slams you with high costs for health insurance, no paid holidays for 6 months, and they have restructured so that the most you can get for each yearly raise is 50 cents an hour. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Walmart is changing. If you want full time and can work anytime of day, you might get lucky. They now have this thing called preferred scheduling, that means that the people who have open availability get the most hours. It doesn't matter. Seniority doesn't matter, work ethic doesn't matter...it only matters who likes you and who doesn't!!

My sister used to stock shelves for WalMart, and she made 6.00 an hour. That was not too long ago.
Keep in mind their managers only make about 12-15 an hour. So you do the math.
