Went 2 dr.........?

I went to the dr a week ago, and she gave me a pregnancy test, and it was negative. She done an examination on me, and gave me some medicine to make my period start. I have 1 and 1/2 dosage left, and still no period. Had spotting since beginning of dec. but no actual period. I asked her to give me a blood test and she REFUSED. This was my family dr. so what should I do? Go see my gyn.? Do u think I may be pregnant? Also, I checked with the local Health Department and they said they do no do blood tests for pregnancy, and I have no health insurance at all, but the Health Department told me that if I am pregnant they will get me a medical card.

I would go to a different doctor, and talk with them about getting the test and there are some places that will do a payment plan. And also I would go to the store and, get a hpt. That and if you are pregnant, you need to get some serious medical help. Because the pills that you are taking might have have a lasting effect. And could cause some problems later on in your pregnancy. Good luck

I kind of think you should have seen your OBGYN first. How late was your period? It seems a little odd that your MD would give you prescription after one test but won't give you a blood test and hasn't referred you to a OBGYN to find out what the issue is.

The health dept. in my area does preg tests. If they don't do tests, how do they know it is OK to get you the card? I'd go in acting like I'm pregnant and see what happens.

Try going to a pregnancy care center... have you done an at home test? I know someone who was pregnant and her test didn't show positive until 6months in

So go see another doctor, or go to the drug store and buy the pregnant test and take it your self and get the results.

go and buy the pregnantce test machin from shapper drugs mart and you can test it at home.
