No, just relax and let things come to you. If it is an art project, keep a pencil and pad of paper handy and try to draw/scribble what comes to mind. You will find that you will learn from what you are doing and adapt parts to what you want. Don't be afraid to discard and start over. Don't expect that every effort should be a keeper.

If you want to think creatively first take care of your body. The body is the temple of creativity.
If everything in the body is healthy then the thoughts will be healthy. Healthy thinking leads to all sorts of creativity but you must be receptive to it - no stimulants of any kind. There are places you can go to for creative stimulation -- the ocean's surf and water falls are two. Both produce negative ions, great for inspiration.

not at all...because being creative is not a matter of being different from the other..because as a matter of fact..all of us here in this world have the so-called individual diferences..
because you cannot say that she/he is thinking the same way as the other...right??..a creative person is dynamic, daring, independent, resourceful and bold, you don't have to create something that is unique or different just to be creative..right??you can be creative with your OWN ideas of course..plus the ideas of others..because creativity is production of new ideas...which may be out from your own thinking ability or from other's ideas

Yes. The old-fashioned way. We need to eliminate video games, MP3's, IPods, Cell Phones, Television programming...etc...etc...
I use to work with learning disabled kids and one of the main problems I found was that today's society does most of the creating for everyone through the avenues I mentioned above.
eople are lost today. Here in the western world, we have everything a person could want. For God's sake, I counted 82 different kinds of TUNA at the grocery store and 76 types of cereal!
It takes me 45 mins.-1 hour to pick a movie because there's 1,500 titles!!!!
It use to take me about 2 seconds to pick a drink at the corner store, Coke, Pepsi, ginger ale, orange, and maybe rootbeer. Now I almost lose my mind because I find myself comparing the calories in 45 diet drinks!!
AARRRggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
How can you be truly creative in a world that already has your ideas implemented beore you have them?
A collision course in the making....

I think that creative people do think differently, which is normal for them.

I think good problem-solvers take a creative approach, which involves thinking differently from the standard approach.

Yes and No.
It is good to see a bridge being built from the other 'side'! But, to use a more appropriate metaphor, we are all 'in the same boat', and it is surely better to try and row (pull our oars) together than to row (squabble) over who has the best oars.
