I think its called "Big Band" music.but lately new catagories are coming up everyday...Though when I went to..www.wikipedia.org..These are the genres that were under Sinatra's name

Francis Albert Sinatra was one of the first 'pop' singers - in the same genre as Crosby, and Torme !
